By Evil Jenji

Are you curious to know what the Orange is the New Black team is watching? Me too! So I went to them to question. Among those who responded, believe me, there is no unanimity. Some of these series I didn’t even know existed. Get ready to know what Jenji Kohan, Lori Petty, Laura Gomez and others are loving! and my suggestions of course. Let’s go!

Incredible series suggestions from the OITNB team

Actress Lori Petty

Dear Lori Petty is one of the most experienced actresses in this Cast. Who doesn’t remember her as Lolly on OITNB, or like Tyler in Point Break. See what she liked most to watch during the pandemic..

The affair (Showtime) After a casual meeting over the holidays, writer Noah and waitress Alison begin an extramarital relationship that will forever change the course of their lives.

Schitt’s Creek (Prime Video) The Rose family, who owns a video rental network, loses their entire fortune after one of their partners committed a millionaire financial fraud. Broken, they move to little Schitt’s Creek, a city they had bought as a joke.

Actor Hunter Emery

The actor Hunter Emery is always very nice. He thinks OITNB fans are going to love Hightown. He participates in 3 episodes of the series.

Hightown (Starz) – An officer from the National Marine Fisheries Service sees her life change when she finds a body on the beach. As a result of the trauma, Jackie takes the first steps towards becoming sober-while convincing herself that she needs to solve the murder.

Showrunner Jenji Kohan

Imagine how happy I was to see Jenji answer my question. I felt like had won the championship. Here are her tips. I’ll start watching today!

Ted Lasso (Apple TV+) – Follows US American Football coach Ted Lasso heading to the UK to manage a struggling London football team in the top flight of English football.

The Great ( Hulu) – A royal woman living in rural Russia during the 18th century is forced to choose between her own personal happiness and the future of Russia, when she marries an Emperor.

Actress Laura Gomez

Laura Gomez offered us much more than tips, gave us her top 5 of the pandemic. Remember that Laura is an actress, writer and director. Let’s go to the top 5?

My Brilliant Friend (HBO) – A woman recounts the lifelong friendship and conflicts with a girl she met at primary school in Naples during the early 1950s.

Insecure (HBO) – Follows the awkward experiences and racy tribulations of a modern-day African-American woman.

Normal People (Starz) – Follows Marianne and Connell, from different backgrounds but the same small town in Ireland, as they weave in and out of each other’s romantic lives.

Better Things (FX) – An actress raises her three daughters while juggling the pressures of working in Hollywood and being a single parent.

I may Destroy You (HBO) – The question of sexual consent in contemporary life and how, in the new landscape of dating and relationships, we make the distinction between liberation and exploitation.

Actress Karina Arroyave

The character played by Karina Arroyave only participated in the last season of OITNB, but it was unforgettable. Shall we see what Karina watched during her quarantine in NY?

The Teacher (Hulu) – A Teacher explores the complexities and consequences of a predatory relationship between Claire Wilson, a young teacher at a suburban Texas high school and her student, Eric Walker.

The Undoing (HBO) – A modern twist to a classical “whodunnit” tale, when the life of a wealthy New York therapist turns upside down after she and her family get involved with a murder case.

Makeup Tina Turnbow

Tina Turnbow as well as a makeup artist is a photographer and founder of The Baremagazine. Tina is well known to Orange is the New Black fans for photos and interviews with Taylor Schilling and Laura Prepon. Tina asked me What were my chosen ones, I decided to put mine too!

The Americans (Prime Video) – At the height of the Cold War two Russian agents pose as your average American couple, complete with family.

Perry Mason (HBO) – In booming 1932 Los Angeles, a down-and-out defense attorney takes on the case of a lifetime.

Journalist Joice Bruhn

I am an unconditional fan of OITNB, and it is a love that includes respect for the various talents and perspectives of Orange is the New Black. Pose has many of these characteristics as well. The other series is the Queen’s Gambit, for me one of the best series of the decade. Ending with Little fires Everywhere, which surprised me.

The Queen’s Gambit (Netflix) – Orphaned at the tender age of nine, prodigious introvert Beth Harmon discovers and masters the game of chess in 1960s USA. But child stardom comes at a price.

Little Fires Everywhere (Prime Video) – Based on Celeste Ng’s 2017 bestseller, “Little Fires Everywhere” follows the intertwined fates of the picture-perfect Richardson family and the enigmatic mother and daughter who upend their lives.

Pose (Netflix) – In the New York of the late 80s and early 90s, this is a story of ball culture and the gay and trans community, the raging AIDS crisis and capitalism in the age of Trump.
