How are the Orange is the New Black Actresses in Real Life?

By Evil Jenji

There are curiosities that attract fans of Orange is the New Black a lot. One of them is to understand what the cast of the series is like in real life. Last year I interviewed dear Dierdre Harris – Hairstylist of OITNB – One of the people who made this transformation – WATCH THE INTERVIEW HERE. Only when we make the comparison through photos, do we realize the incredible work of hair and makeup done on the cast. Until then it seemed that they filmed their scenes au naturel, just wearing their prison clothes. It is very naive of us to think that way. The best characterization is certainly one that looks natural without being. There is a lot of work to achieve this naturalness. I selected here some actresses characterized as a character and then characterized by themselves, what a difference!

I tried to bring pictures of as many actresses as possible, but there are too many! Thinking about the characterization of the characters, I have my favorites. Once, interviewing the hairdresser Dierdri Harris, I asked how the actresses were portrayed in Orange is the new Black. She replied that in many characters the style was to put on makeup so it didn’t look like makeup. Making beautiful women look pure and simple. Do you agree with this? Be yourself..

What is the most different OITNB character from the actress in real life?

It is impossible to put all the characters here. Orange is the New Black has over 100! One day I tried to count, I ended up giving up! Give your opinion, which is the best characterization. Vote!

I remember that Orange is the New Black was one of the most expensive series on Netflix in its entire history, much of it because of its numerous cast. What is most charming about the series is that it uses 90% of the cast of unknown actresses, who over time we learn to love. I will always be a spin off supporter. There is a lot of beauty in dealing with such diverse and important topics in such an intelligent and unique way. The world needs Orange to somehow move on. We became better people after watching her.

For those of us who have watched Orange Is The New Black series multiple times. We need the story to be written down from the series in a book (or whatever, so we can read it). In addition, if we can’t get a spin-off TV or movie ( after Alex gets out of prison), then keep the story alive in the book series. Please we all want to continue this amazing writing of the show and the story of these women.
