Red’s famous Kiev chicken in 3 steps!

by Evil Jenji

When I discovered that there was an Orange is the New Black cookbook written by Jenji Kohan and Tara Herrmann who also did the series, I went crazy. I made Orange’s best-known recipes, and recorded them to show to other fans. After trying Red’s famous chicken, I understood her passion for the recipe. Want to try you too?

Don’t Forget! Guys, I’m not a chef. I’m someone like you, who loves Orange is the New Black and who decided to enjoy the experience more deeply and….I have a little piece of sense of humor.

Let’s go?

Ingredients (serves 4) : 115g unsalted butter, softened — 1 tablespoon fresh lemon juice — 2 teaspoons dried tarragon, divided — 1 teaspoon dried parsley — Salt and freshly ground black pepper — 4 boneless, skinless chicken breast — 2 cups panko breadcrumbs — 1/2 all-purpose flour — 2 large eggs, beaten with 2 teaspoons water — vagetable oil for frying

How was my experience? I honestly loved experiencing the taste of Chicken Kiev. It is not an extremely easy recipe to make, but it is ok for my level. If you have no experience in the kitchen, I suggest you start with the Piper sandwich, which I already posted here on the blog, it is really easy. If you love Orange, buy the cookbook, it is very beautiful and has lots of extra information about the series. I need to make other recipes! I really like to consume culture and if there is something that combines culture and cuisine, it interests me! good luck, and if you have some time, comment here on the blog.

Why do you need 3 steps to make Chicken Kiev? First you have to love Orange is the New Black, then you have to buy the ingredients, and it ends with a delicious reward!!
